OnDetour

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using OnDetour mobile application (“the App”), you
agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not
agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
OnDetour is a trip planning and collaboration application that allows
users to:
- Create and manage trip itineraries
- Collaborate with other travelers
- Track and split expenses
- Share photos and documents
- Check in at locations
- Optimize travel routes
3. User Accounts
3.1 Account Creation
- You must provide accurate and complete information
- You are responsible for maintaining account security
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the App
3.2 Account Types
- Guest Mode: Local-only access without cloud
sync
- Registered Account: Full features with cloud
synchronization
3.3 Account Security
- Keep your password confidential
- Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
- You are responsible for all activities under your account
4. User Content
4.1 Your Content
- You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, documents, trip
data)
- You grant us a license to store, display, and process your content
to provide the service
- You are responsible for the legality and appropriateness of your
content
4.2 Prohibited Content
You may not upload content that: - Violates laws or regulations -
Infringes intellectual property rights - Contains malware or harmful
code - Is offensive, abusive, or harassing - Violates others’
privacy
5. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the App for illegal purposes
- Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise the App
- Spam or harass other users
- Upload viruses or malicious code
- Scrape or collect data without permission
- Impersonate others
- Interfere with the App’s operation
6. Trip Collaboration
6.1 Shared Trips
- Trip creators can invite members
- Members can view and edit shared trip information
- Expense splitting requires member consent
6.2 Member Responsibilities
- Respect other members’ contributions
- Provide accurate expense information
- Communicate changes promptly
7. Payments and Expenses
7.1 Expense Tracking
- The App facilitates expense tracking and bill splitting
- We do NOT process actual payments
- Users are responsible for settling debts outside the App
7.2 Accuracy
- Verify all expense calculations
- We are not liable for calculation errors or disputes
8. Location Services
- Location features are optional
- You can disable location access in device settings
- Location data is used only for app features (check-in, routes)
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 Our Rights
- The App, design, and code are our property
- OnDetour name and logo are our trademarks
9.2 Your Rights
- You retain rights to your uploaded content
- We do not claim ownership of your trip data
10. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services:
- Google Maps (location services)
- Weather APIs (forecast data)
- OAuth providers (authentication)
Use of these services is subject to their respective terms.
11. Disclaimers
11.1 Service Availability
- The App is provided “as is” without warranties
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted service
- Features may change or be discontinued
11.2 Accuracy
- We do not guarantee accuracy of maps, weather, or route data
- Verify critical information independently
11.3 User Interactions
- We are not responsible for disputes between users
- We do not mediate expense disagreements
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential
damages
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid (if any)
- We are not liable for data loss, though we encourage backups
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising
from:
- Your use of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of others’ rights
14. Data and Privacy
- Your use is governed by our Privacy Policy
- We may collect usage data to improve the service
- You can request data deletion at any time
15. Termination

- You may delete your account at any time
- Local data remains until app is uninstalled

We may suspend or terminate accounts for: - Violation of these Terms
- Illegal activity - Abuse or harassment - Extended inactivity
16. Changes to Terms
- We may update these Terms periodically
- Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
- Significant changes will be notified through the App

22. Apple App Store Terms
For iOS users:
- These Terms are between you and OnDetour, not Apple
- Apple is not responsible for the App or its content
- Apple has no warranty obligations
- Apple is not responsible for maintenance or support
- Apple is not liable for any claims related to the App
- You must comply with Apple’s App Store Terms of Service
By using OnDetour, you acknowledge that you have read,
understood, and agree to these Terms of Service.
